Nuvel. Udlandet har fattet det,
mens det kniber herhjemme. I al fald hos de anmeldere, der får penge for at
lytte til og skrive om musik. Og som burde have tiden til det. Ekstra Bladets
Thomas Treo skøjtede kluntet henover Telstar Sound Drones 'Magical Solutions To
Anmeldelsen af 'Magical Solutions To Everyday Struggles’ i
Backseat Mafia slutter med:
"As you will have
guessed by now, this Telstar Sound Drone album is not an easy listen. It is
dark, it is claustrophobic, and it does reflect the surroundings in which it
was recorded. Nevertheless, this is very much a psychedelic album and that
suggests escape. This is an album that can accompany you on your own inner
journey, and while you might not like all the places that it takes you you are,
in the end, left with a feeling of have been challenged and unburdened."
"Copenhagen-based
droning psych-gazers Telstar Sound Drone are not here to create pop songs. They
have no interest in writing chorus progressions or intermittent 'Love Me Do'
soundscapes either. What they collectively create is a swirling maelstrom of
golden psychedelic sound that wraps itself around your senses and takes you
with it as it loops and arcs through sonic peaks and troughs with relative
ease."
'Magical Solutions To
Everyday Struggles' is a classy album, oozing with lush drones and fuzzy,
trippy guitar. The atmosphere it creates and the textures it weaves results in
a deep, heady voyage that is ultimately very satisfying and hugely enjoyable
flossede nervebaner. Arrogant og ubehagelig. Smuk og eftertænksom.”
